Write Well, Sell Well ’17 Conference, Oklahoma City, OK

I will be teaching two workshops and delivering one Keynote at this writer’s conference.

Discovering Your Writer’s Voice

Most writers are so focused on their message or on writing good sentences that it takes a long time to settle into their unique voice. In this workshop, we’ll explore what voice means and do some exercises to help you discover your own unique expression that will help you stand out as an author—and may also help build your platform! Bring paper and pen and/or your laptop.

What’s the Big Idea? Writing Life-changing Non-fiction

Have you written a non-fiction book that hasn’t quite hit the mark high enough for a traditional publisher? Have you published or self-published a book that didn’t reach as much of your audience as you intended? In this workshop, we’ll talk about how to reach and engage your audience by tapping into a need they don’t even know they have. We’ll look at the characteristics of best-selling books and how you can use the same techniques, and Alice will provide results-based coaching that will help you leap forward in your writing career. Bring your current project and/or new ideas with you!

Lunchtime Keynote:

The Top 10 Traits of Bestselling Authors (and how you can develop them)

Aside from excellent writing, a fresh concept, and a large platform, what more do you need in order to become a bestselling author? In this talk, we’ll look at why some authors break out and go big, why most don’t, and what you can do to increase your chances of publishing success.

Rene Gutteridge, Melanie Hemry, and Cheri Fuller are the founders of the Write Well, Sell Well OKC Conference. Together they have 70 YEARS of combined experience as published authors. Learn more about them on the about page of writewellsellwell.com.
